Last week I learned how to put the cover on the book we are working on. I thought we would do it differently than the way we did, but we were taught how to cut the corners off and glue it to the hard book cover. I also learned that when you let the rubber cement dry on both halves, it will stick a lot better than if you were to stick them together while they were still wet.
I learned the rubber cement trick while I was student teaching, and it truly has been a great thing to know. The book project is definitely one of my favorites because you as the artist truly get to show what you're interested in, and have a major variety of ways to create the books.
